Tickets

Timed online tickets for general park admission are no longer required. However, we recommend that you buy online and save.

• Note: If you choose to do the Wild Drive tour, you will need to reserve a Wild Drive tour spot for your household. Please arrive 20 minutes before your scheduled time for check-in.

Parking

• Parking is for free for cars, buses and recreational vehicles.
• We have designated ADA parking spaces and a drop-off/pick-up zone at our front gate.

Note: Pets are not allowed at Northwest Trek. And never leave a pet inside a parked vehicle!

Please Be Safe!

We want your visit to be safe and enjoyable.

GENERAL RULES:

• Don’t leave valuables in your car.
• Please leave pets at home. Park regulations prohibit them inside the park.
• Never feed or harass the animals.
• Stay on marked paths (Wild Walk) or on paved roads (Wild Drive).
• Wear shoes and shirts at all times.
• No barbecues, open flame devices or grills.
• No balloons. (They harm our animals.)
• No iPods, radios, or other musical devices in the park.
• No sports equipment into the park (frisbees, balls, bats, etc.)
• No skates, skateboards, wheelie-type shoes, scooters, Segways and bicycles.
• No camera drones and other flying toys.
• No alcohol, smoking or e-cigarettes allowed.
• Enjoy Northwest Trek and have a great time!

Most of the park is open, including our walking paths, Kids’ Trek play area, cafe and gift shop.

What’s closed:

• Discovery Tram Tours: To experience our Free-Roaming Area and meet the many animals that live there, reserve a Wild Drive tour, Keeper Adventure Tour or Photo Tour.

DO THE NEW TREK

• Our sit-down Forest Cafe is now open.
• Pick up a snack or beverage at our Trek Treats walk-up kiosk.
• Outside food is allowed so feel free to bring a picnic lunch or snack.
• Remember your water bottle! Drinking fountains are closed, but the refilling station is open.

DO THE NEW TREK

• We offer rentals for wheelchairs, electric carts, strollers and umbrellas.
• Sensory bags are also now available.

ADA Accessibility

Northwest Trek is ADA-accessible. Graded, paved pathways allow for comfortable maneuvering around the main area of the park.

Service Animals

If you have a service animal, please alert front gate staff. And view our service animal policy as well.

Help us help the planet.

Here at Northwest Trek we’re working hard to protect the Earth for everyone. Here’s how you can help:

• Avoid idling your car for more than 30 seconds. This helps preserve sea ice for Arctic animals.
• Bring a reusable water bottle – and fill it up at one of our  water stations. You’ll help protect marine animals from plastic pollution.
• Recycle your waste. Recycling bins are next to trash cans – make an Earth-friendly choice!
