Experience the awe and wonder of seeing a caribou or moose from the comfort and safety of your own car. Our all-new Wild Drive premier tour allows you to drive by roaming herds of Roosevelt elk and mountain goats in our beautiful Free-Roaming Area while following the governor’s health and safety protocols.

RESERVATIONS REQUIRED: Online, timed-ticketing only. Tours are limited to 15 registered vehicles.
$70 members/$90 non-members per vehicle – your entire household!
All ages: One family or household per vehicle, maximum of 8 people per vehicle
No pets allowed.
Please bring:
A face covering. While you do not need to wear it in your car, you will need it for the restrooms and park entry. Face coverings are required for non-vaccinated guests age 5 and over and encouraged for vaccinated guests – in compliance with CDC and state health guidelines.  Learn more.

Wild Drive is unique, unforgettable and unlike anything offered at Northwest Trek. After purchasing your timed online ticket, you and your household members will drive your vehicle to our park’s welcome area. One of our experienced staff members will lead you in your vehicle and a small caravan of other vehicles into our stunning Free-Roaming Area where you’ll drive through serene meadows, shady wetlands, and dappled forests.

What Animals You'll See

With our naturalist’s assistance, you’ll look for dozens of native Northwest animals that roam freely in the 435-acre area. You’ll enjoy a live narrated tour with engaging stories about all the species you’re seeing and what makes them special. Look for mountain goats, moose, bison, rams, elk and more!

The core walking paths of Northwest Trek are now open. Come see grizzlies, gray wolves, otters, cougars, black bears, bald eagles and so many more animals while staying safe and healthy.
