Trolls: A Field Study

Welcoming trolls to Northwest Trek
Opening October 15 - January 24

Discover an immersive outdoor art experience in Thomas Dambo’s TROLLS: A Field Study, where whimsical giant troll sculptures hide among towering evergreens, winding trails, and native wildlife habitats at Northwest Trek. Quietly curious, the trolls observe humans as we wander through the wild spaces they call home.

Handcrafted from reclaimed materials like fallen branches, scrap wood, pallets, and twigs, each troll has its own unique personality and story. Included with general admission or membership.

More than an art installation, TROLLS: A Field Study invites guests to slow down, explore the outdoors, and see nature through a new lens. Created from reclaimed materials, the monumental sculptures highlight sustainability, creativity, and environmental stewardship while inspiring guests to find beauty in the world around them.
