Your life, and the lives of many different types of animals would be very different if play was not a part of growing up!  In this program, students will learn what it means to play, why humans and animals play and how playing is an essential part of learning.   Participants will get to watch a variety of animals play, and play a little game themselves!

Programs are designed to be interactive so participants can engage in Q&A throughout the session. Is this program interactive?

• Yes!
• Participants will be immersed into Northwest Trek in this live experience, and each program includes built-in Q&A time.

Do family members have to register separately?

Yes, please register them separately if they want to ask their own questions and respond individually on their own screen! If they are sharing one screen or device, they can register as one person.

What technology is required?

• All you need is internet access and device with speakers! Having a camera and mic will allow the participants to be seen and heard during the program, but it is not required.

What is Zoom?

• Zoom is a video conferencing software, and it is a simple and easy way for participants to connect with Northwest Trek using minimal technology.
• It can be used across Windows, Mac, Linus, Zoom Rooms and H.323/SIP room systems.
• Zoom does not require any special administrator credentials in order to run, and you will not need to download anything prior to your scheduled program.

What happens once I book?

• You will receive an email confirmation upon purchase. The day before the program is scheduled, a Northwest Trek staff member will send a link with the Zoom login information.

Can you tailor a program to fit my class curriculum?

“Ask a Northwest Trexpert” is designed to align with your current topic of study and can be altered to meet your group needs. A Northwest Trek staff member will contact you after your program is booked to discuss details.

Cancellations:

• Programs are non-refundable but circumstances may allow for programs to be rescheduled.
• For group bookings, if a group encounters technical problems on the scheduled date of a program, there will be a 15-minute grace period after the scheduled start time to determine if the problem can be resolved.
• If not, the program will be canceled for that date. The school then has the option to reschedule the program.
• If the group chooses not to reschedule, or if the technical issues cannot be resolved on another program date, the full program fee will still be charged.
• Inclement weather, technological problems on our end, and any other uncontrollable factors will be taken into account. In the event of weather related park or school closings, every reasonable attempt will be made to reschedule the program.
• If the program cannot be rescheduled, a full refund will be issued.
