Conservation Volunteers
What's a conservation volunteer?
Someone who participates in various volunteer conservation activities and field trips to support Northwest Trek and partner conservation efforts.
Duties
May include, but not limited to, amphibian monitoring, habitat restoration, trail camera identification and other conservation activities.
Qualifications
- Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions
- Must be able to walk over various types of terrain
- Age qualification varies by project
Commitment
The Conservation Volunteer agreement is informal and each program has different minimum participation requirements.

On two chilly Saturday mornings in January, seventeen dedicated volunteers from Northwest Trek Wildlife Park and Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium bundled up, grabbed their gloves, and headed out into the cold, all for the sake of wild western toads.
