Golden eagle
Hayward is our handsome golden eagle. He has limited flying ability due to an injury he sustained in the wild. You can find him perched or nesting in his habitat.
Hayward prefers his independence, watching people from a distance. He spends time moving sticks and things in his environment to make his nest even better. He preens his feathers often to keep them looking perfect.

One great way to help wildlife is to become familiar with the names of nearby wildlife rehabilitation centers or wildlife veterinarians in your area. If you ever see a sick or injured animal, it is safest for you and the animal to observe without approaching it. Contact either a licensed rehabilitator or WDFW for more information. Another excellent resource for finding rehabilitators in your area is ahnow.org. |
Our incredible eagles unfortunately received injuries in the wild that would have challenged their survival. We are glad to care for these remarkable birds, give them a home, and share their stories. |
