Are there specific dates unavailable due to Covid-19?

Yes, we are not booking weddings or other events now through mid-April 2021.


When will you be booking 2021 events?

We are currently contracting (holding dates) for 2021 weddings and events. At this time, we are not requiring immediate deposits to hold your date as we do not know under what phase we’ll be operating when your event occurs. We will follow guidelines as provided by state mandate.


Are you currently conducting site visits and planning meetings?

Yes, we are currently conducting site visits twice per month on Saturday’s: November 7th or 21st; December 5th or 19th. Please contact to schedule a site visit after you fill out the wedding request form. Please note, we are prioritizing 2021 weddings; 2022 wedding site visits will begin in February 2021.
If you’ve already been on a site visit and are requesting a planning meeting, the preference is to do a video call for your planning meeting while operating under state mandated Phase 2.


How are we keeping safe during site visits?

Please bundle up and be ready for the beauty and unpredictability of the weather in Washington. We will spend most (if not all) of the tour outside. Interior photos and floorplans will be emailed to those who book their event at Northwest Trek Wildlife Park. Masks are required, along with social distancing and information will be collected for contact tracing. You will receive more detailed instructions when your appointment is confirmed with Joy.

When can I have an event at Northwest Trek?

Northwest Trek Wildlife Park offers event space year-round; however, during the winter and rainy months we have limited indoor space. Generally, we can accommodate smaller, more intimate events of up to 75 guests and in the cold of winter about 50 guests. If you are booking a larger event during the summer when rain is expected, we encourage you to consider renting a tent. We do not provide tents.


How do I reserve a date?

Please contact our Group Sales Coordinator at 360-832-7181 or email to check date availability and to schedule a site visit. Your reservation is made official upon our receipt of a deposit and a signed Facility Rental Contract.


Do you have a preferred list of caterers?

Northwest Trek Wildlife Park works exclusively with Lancer Catering, our in-house caterer. Lancer Catering provides top-notch service and culinary excellence at thousands of weddings, corporate events and special occasions. Their delectable food, first class presentation and careful attention to detail and the needs of clients have resulted in 35 wonderful years of critical acclaim and a sterling reputation among many happy clients and their guests. Their goal is not simply to make your event a beautiful and joyful experience, but to craft a unique event that will transcend your every expectation.


Do you allow alcohol?

All alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are coordinated with your food and beverage order through Lancer Catering; they hold the liquor license and liability insurance. During hours when Northwest Trek is open to the public, alcoholic beverages may not be served in the public areas of the park.


Do you allow outside vendors?

You may work with your own licensed pastry chef for your wedding cake or specialty dessert. You may also choose your own florist, photographer, officiant, DJ and wedding planner. Just be sure to share all of this contact information with your Northwest Trek Event Coordinator.


Does the rental fee include entrance to Northwest Trek?

Yes and no. Your rental fee allows your guests entrance for your wedding, reception or event. If you are having your event at the Hellyer Center, the tram to the Hellyer Center is included in your rental fee. If you are hoping to arrange for a full tram tour and admission to Northwest Trek, please ask your Event Coordinator to include that in your event proposal.


Is parking available?

Yes, there is plenty of free parking for your guests.


Are there any restrictions on decorations?

Yes. All decorations must be approved by your Event Coordinator.


Are there any other rules or restrictions?

No drug use or smoking (Violators will be immediately escorted from the event, possibly forcing the cancellation of the event)
No alcohol sales
No pets of any kind (Please review our Service Animal Policy)
No swimming, fishing or other recreational activities in the lake
No lewd or immoral conduct; no rowdiness, brawling or fighting
No gambling
No excessively loud music
No littering
