Buying or Renewing
How do I purchase or renew a membership?
New or renewing memberships can be purchased online or at Northwest Trek's front gate when you visit.

Are there any discounts for purchasing memberships? *
  • Military receive a 10% discount on memberships. Must show valid military ID to receive the discount.
  • Passport Unlimited members receive a 15% discount.
  • Apply admission discount: Paid admissions can be applied towards a membership purchase. (Valid only on the day of visit/receipt and valid only for the admission paid that would be covered under the membership.)
  • Renewing members will receive special limited-time promotional codes for discounted renewal memberships.
*Visit any front gate ticket window to purchase your membership with these discounts. Only 1 discount per membership purchase. Discounts are not valid on prior purchases.

I purchased online. When will I receive my membership card?
Bring your photo ID and proof of purchase (online confirmation form or purchase receipt) to Trek's front gate to have your membership card printed. You will be required to show photo ID for named adults attending each visit.

Who should I name as the 2nd named adult on my membership?
Named adults are non-transferable so it is best for the 2nd named adult to be the person in your household most likely to attend Northwest Trek without you.

I have a nanny. What’s the best membership for me?
The Household or Deluxe Household memberships can work for you but the nanny must be a named adult on the membership in order for him/her to bring the children to Northwest Trek without you. The nanny can be listed as the 2nd named adult on the membership or you can purchase an additional named adult for only $25 (restrictions apply).

Do I need to include children under the age of 3 on my membership?

Children aged 2 and under receive free admission to Northwest Trek; therefore, you do not need to include your child on your membership if he/she is age 2 or under. If your child turns 3 years old before your membership expires, you may add a child to your membership (or upgrade, if you’ve purchased a 1+1 membership) at any time.

Visiting Northwest Trek

Can I visit Northwest Trek without my membership card?
Yes. Simply present your photo ID at any one of our front gate ticket windows to have your membership information validated.

How do I replace a lost membership card?
You can request a new membership card the next time you visit Northwest Trek or by calling the membership office at (360) 832-7170. There is a $10 processing fee for replacement membership cards.

How do I bring a guest with me to Northwest Trek?
Guests must be accompanied by a named adult on the membership to receive guest admission covered under the Deluxe Household and Deluxe Grandparent membership levels. Additional guests not covered under the membership will receive a $3 discount off general admission rates at the front gate when they arrive with the member.

Can my nanny or guest bring my children to Northwest Trek without me?
Yes. Legal dependents in your household aged 17 and under will be admitted to Northwest Trek under your membership (excluding 1+1 memberships).* However, if the nanny or guest is not listed as a named adult on your membership, he/she will be charged a general admission fee. Guest passes are only valid when at least one named adult on the membership is also present.

*Memberships may not be used for admission during school field trips.

Gift of Membership
Can I purchase a membership as a gift?
Yes. You can purchase a gift of Membership (New or Renewal) online or at Trek's front gate. Gift cards, which can be used later to purchase a membership, can be purchased at the front gate or by phone only. If you are aren't sure whether the gift recipient already has a membership, contact Membership Services or the front gate at (360) 832-7170 to verify.

How do I redeem gift cards?
Gift cards are equivalent to cash. Simply bring your gift card along on your next visit and our front gate staff can assist you with the purchase of your membership. Gift cards cannot be redeemed online. Gift cards cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.

General Questions
When does my membership expire?
The expiration date is printed on the back of your membership card. If you have lost your membership card, please call us at (360) 832-7170 or stop by the front gate during your next visit.

How can I change my address?
To change your mailing address or other contact information, please call us at (360) 832-7170, email us at, or check in with front gate staff during your next visit.

Can a name on my membership be changed?
Northwest Trek memberships are non-transferable. Name changes can be made when you renew your membership; other changes throughout the year are limited and subject to a $10 fee.

Is my membership tax-deductible?
Northwest Trek provides services in exchange for membership dues. As such, membership dues do not qualify as charitable contributions and are not tax-deductible. However, charitable donations to Northwest Trek and/or The Northwest Trek Foundation are tax-deductible.
