Classes & Field Work
Northwest Trek is expanding learning opportunities for citizens to take on the roll of scientists with classes in NatureMapping and field work to support the Ohop Valley Creek restoration project. NatureMapping: Data Collection and MonitoringNatureMapping provides an opportunity for citizen scientists to observe, monitor and inventory their local habitats and use the information gathered to effect real change. Data collected can be used by scientists on state and local levels to help make decisions that determine a healthy future for fish and wildlife. NatureMapping Workshops are $40 per person and require reservations at least one week in advance. For reservations, call (360) 832-7166 or e-mail reserve@nwtrek.org Participants will work both outside and inside over the course of the workshop.
