Group Activities

TRAM TOUR:
Venture into the wilds of Northwest Trek during a tram tour. When you arrange for your group 2 weeks in advance, every effort can be made to get your group of up to 80 on the same tram and you'll know your time before you arrive at the park.

WALKING TOUR OF ANIMAL EXHIBITS:
Walk the trails! This is a fantastic chance to learn about predators, forest animals and wetland animals of the Northwest. Grizzlies, black bears, wolves, bobcats, lynx, cougars, eagles and otters are just a few animals you will find on this adventure. Click here for a map of the walking tour.
NATURE TRAILS:
Come be fascinated by the variety of native plants and animals you will see and learn about while exploring our five miles of nature trails. Before you come to Trek, study the trail map to decide which trail to explore.

LEARNING CENTERS:
Two hands-on centers for children of all ages are filled with discoveries.

In the Cheney Discovery Center, learn about wildlife and the environment by using your sense of touch, smell, hearing, and sight. Dress up as your favorite animal, use puppets to act out animal behaviors, hear the buzzing of a real working honeybee hive, see a snake slither by in one of our snake exhibits, or touch one of the many fur pelts representing Pacific Northwest animals.

The Baker Research Cabin lets you get a taste of the life of a research biologist and allows interesting views of the wolf and fox exhibits.
