Corporate Sponsorships
Tacoma REI sent volunteers to help with blackberry removal at the Conservation Center. You or your company can sponsor almost anything, from animals to exhibits, special events to programs. Northwest Trek Wildlife Park encourages and welcomes sponsorships in the Greater Puget Sound area. By becoming a sponsor you will have an opportunity to extend and strengthen the impact of promoting your product or services while demonstrating good will toward your community. Businesses might be able to deduct a Trek sponsorship either as a charitable gift or as a business expense. We can help you determine which. For information on upcoming events or to propose an event or sponsorship, please contact Trek's development officer, Keriann Cockrell, at (360) 832-7182 or e-mail Keriann.Cockrell@nwtrek.org. See below for what some of our sponsors are doing. On Oct. 13, 2007, Milgard employees came out to help with the blackberry infestation on the Conservation Center property. They accomplished a great deal in a few hours.
REI's Tacoma store brought more than 20 volunteers to Northwest Trek on Sept. 29, 2007, to help remove blackberries from the Conservation Center grounds. Below you can see all ages came out to help.
Run Wild fun run offers chances for several levels of sponsorship and recognition. In-kind gifts might include prizes for goodie bags, printing and other services. Special thanks to our 2009 sponsors!
In 2007, Wal-Mart stores in the area, led by the Spanaway unit, have given time, merchandise and other contributions to Northwest Trek. Crews stacked firewood, media was installed at the tour station and education programs were enhanced thanks to their sponsorship of Run Wild. Spanaway has signed on again for a 2008 Run Wild sponsorship.
Tacoma Mall, a Simon property, provided 5,000 bags in 2007 for young visitors to put craft projects in and to use for Hoot 'n' Howl treats. |
