Maintenance Volunteers

Maintenance volunteers help maintain the grounds and buildings as well as the animal facilities around the park.

Description: 

Assists permanent and part-time maintenance personnel with large and small projects. Performs some park maintenance functions and projects with minimal supervision.

Duties:

Assists in keeping buildings and grounds clean, neat and in good repair
Assists with major and minor construction projects
Assists with landscaping, using acceptable horticultural practices as prescribed by the Parks Leader
Assists in maintenance of park vehicles and equipment under the direction of the park mechanic

Qualifications:

18 years of age or older
Neat and clean appearance
Ability to communicate with public and park staff in a polite, helpful and courteous manner
Ability to carry out written and oral directions
Physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions

Commitment:

Available to volunteer on a regular basis (four hours weekly is suggested).
